Theatre - Text

Fairfly is a comedy about the emergence of startups and entrepreneurial culture. Does starting your own business really allow you to be master of your destiny? Do friendship and business go hand in hand? This piece questions the motivations that push individuals to launch their company and exposes with great humor the gap between the initial dream of a business project and reality.

Catalan playwright Joan Yago Garcia created this play with his company La Calòrica in 2017 in Barcelona. After having been the subject of a public reading in 2019 at La Dizaine de La Manufacture, in a translation by Elisabet Ràfols and Maryse Warda, Fairfly is now presented in its final version. The Manufacture brings together performers Mikhaïl Ahooja, Sonia Cordeau, Simon Lacroix and Raphaëlle Lalande (Projet bocal) around this piece, under the direction of director Ricard Soler Mallol.

Premiere on November 10, 2020 at the Théâtre La Licorne in Montreal
