Premiered on February 15, 2018 at the National Theater of Catalonia.
Mary Shelley's classic about one of the most famous monsters in history reveals the darkness of a society incapable of accepting difference. In 1818, Mary Shelley endowed her famous monster with a life that, with its organic multiplicity, would become a fundamental myth of the new contemporary society, forcing a deep re-examination of identity constructs in the new world marked by industrialisation and reorganisation of the powers that be. Two hundred years after the first publication of the novel, the director Carme Portaceli brings the story of this modern Prometheus to the stage with dramaturgy by Guillem Morales (director and scriptwriter of the award-winning film Los ojos de Julia) that explores the darkest terrains of the wounded humanity of myth.
